A home at Providence

  • Featuring: Mirna Musun & Melody Fawcett
  • Date Submitted: Dec 22, 2020
  • Location: California

When Mirna was a toddler, she and her family fled El Salvador in the middle of the night to the United States to avoid religious persecution. They lived in fear of being deported to El Salvador before they became U.S. citizens. Mirna was moved when she heard Providence CEO Dr. Rod Hochman support the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. She tells her friend and colleague, Melody, how thankful she is for people like Dr. Hochman and welcoming places like Providence. Edit credit: Mike Addis
