Hinduism is a central part of Vaishali’s and Girish’s lives. Vaishali and Girish started as work-pod mates and soon became soul mates. After immigrating to the U.S. in 2006, they have made sure to keep their faith traditions as festive and colorful as they are in India. Diwali, or “road of lighted lamps,” is the festival of lights, is a major Hindu holiday and one of their favorites. Edit credit: Alison Jacques
